How It Works
Mission Scan reads five kinds of live market evidence, scores each setup, and then runs it through hard gates. Rules decide; AI only explains. A score is not a guarantee — options can expire worthless.
01What it reads
Dealer positioning
Where dealers are long or short gamma. Below the gamma flip moves tend to extend; pinned against a call or put wall, there is little room to run.
Options context
IV rank (90+ blocks buying), implied vs. historical move, max pain, new open interest, and the earnings calendar so a contract never quietly spans a report.
Tape & price
Price versus its session VWAP, alignment with SPY, and relative volume. The play has to agree with what the market is actually doing.
Dark pool & news
Block prints and catalysts confirm or weaken the read. Unverified evidence is never claimed.
02Score bands
Bands rate setup quality only. A play can score Strong and still be watch-only if it fails a hard gate below.

Rare setup with strong confirmation across every pillar.
85–89
Excellent
Strong setup across the board.
75–84
Strong
Solid setup if the trigger confirms.
65–74
Moderate
Needs confirmation or carries moderate risk.

03Gates that block weak entries
Opening guard
9:30–10:00 AM ET: no chasing the first print.
Opening range breakout
10:00–10:45 AM ET: a call must close above the first 30-minute high, a put below its low.
Choppy tape
After 10:30 AM ET, back-and-forth SPY action blocks new breakout entries.
Midday
12:00–12:45 PM ET needs a much higher bar — chop is where accounts bleed.
Fed & data days
No entries 1:30–2:30 PM ET on Fed decision days; CPI and jobs mornings are handled before the open.
Late-day cutoff
No new swing entries after 3:30 PM ET.
Liquidity
Stale quotes, wide spreads, and thin books are rejected outright.
When nothing passes every gate you'll see No Clean Play Found — the system refusing a forced trade.

Outside market hours Mission Scan shows setups and contracts to watch. Bid, ask, and spread must be verified after the open.
